Nathaniel David Penfield Kressen is an NYC-based actor whose favorite roles include Austin in Sam Shepard's True West and Petruchio in The Taming of the Shrew. He graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts where he trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, Stonestreet Film & TV Studio, Viewpoints Experimental Theatre Wing, and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London.
He founded the theater company Prophecy Productions where he served as Artistic Director for three years, bringing several new works to the stage including his own. This experience led him to concentrate for a time on writing novels, which in turn inspired him to take up guitar, piano, and other instruments. He's released two albums under the name Growl Honey.
He is currently a community member of the long-running NYC theater collective Naked Angels, with whom he brings to life cold readings of new plays as part of their Tuesdays@9 series. He recently performed as Chris in the new play Well, Here We Are (Jump Car Productions, Next Step Theatre Festival), a treatise on romance at four different phases in life that allowed him to embrace his inner peacock.
